Payments and Cancellations

 

General
CampFound has a payment system that ensures a highly secured payment process for clients and partners. We do not collect any payments but instead use the #1 online payment service, Stripe.

Clients ("Camper Parents/Guardians")
We can accept all major debit and credit cards from customers in every country in 135+ currencies. 
Cards: VISA, MasterCard, American Express, Discover

Partners ("Camp Operators")
When a client books an activity the total amount will be charged to the client and kept by CampFound in an escrow account (Stripe). Sellers (Camp Operators) may be charged for using some of CampFound services. This Fees & Payments Policy explains our fees. 

Any action by a seller to avoid paying a fee is considered fee avoidance and is strictly prohibited by CampFound This includes, for example, encouraging buyers to purchase an item in your CampFound account through another venue or service. Sharing email adresses, telephone numbers on our platform to avoid service provider fees is not allowed before booking confirmation. 
CampFound has to right to cancel accounts from providers that share personal contacts, like described above, before booking confirmation.

(i) Service Provider Fees

When you make a sale through CampFound, you will be charged a Service Provider Fee of the total activity price (see pricing page for current fee structures). The Service Provider Fee is automatically deducted from the payout to the seller.

(ii) Payment Processing Fees

CampFound uses Stripe to process payments. Stripe charges a payment processing fee of 2.9% + 30 cents for processing each successful transaction through Stripe. This fee is assessed on the total amount of the sale, including tax. This fee is included in the Service Provider Fee.

Full fee payment model
The total amount minus the CampFound agreed commission payment will be initiated to the providers bank account 1 business day after fulfillment.

Deposit payment model
We collect a deposit payment from the booking, you collect the rest in cash or credit directly from guest.

Refunds & cancellations
Our cancellation & refund policy is setup to protect the clients and the partners. 
CampFound partners will have the possibility to choose between 2 refund and cancellation policies. The partner's cancellation policy will be stated in each camp listing profile.

Standard cancellation policy: Cancellations 7 days upfront the day of the activity will be totally refunded to the client. Any cancellation initiated after the 7 days until fulfilment day deadline will be not refunded to the client. The partner will receive the amount charged to the client minus the CampFound agreed commission.

Cancellation initiated by partners
Client will receive a full refund. Partners are allowed to cancel their activities at any time.

My Camp Listings
Find an overview of all your listed camps.

Account
Update your account settings; reset password, upload profile picture, change settings to receive email notifications and follow up emails.

Inbox - Ability to Answer, Cancel, Refund and Change bookings

Receive all booking requests and messages from clients. You can directly answer clients by opening their (booking) message and push 'Answer'. The inbox has 4 colors for the status of each message. You will receive email notifications on every message your receive via CampFound.

Accepted/Booked: Status Green

Client: Your booking has been accepted and confirmed
Partner: You accepted the booking and it confirmed it to the client

Waiting: Status Blue

Client: Waiting for reply
Partner: Waiting for reply

Your action needed: Status Orange
Client: You received a message, please reply
Partner: You received a message/booking, please reply/confirm booking, Change booking dates, add comments.

Cancelled: Status Red
Client: Your booking has been cancelled
Partner: The booking has been cancelled

My bookings
Follow up on your bookings, overview of placed bookings listed with status colors:

Accepted/Booked: Status Green
Client: Your booking has been accepted and confirmed
Partner: You accepted the booking and it confirmed it to the client

Waiting: Status Blue
Client: Waiting for reply
Partner: Waiting for reply

Your action needed: Status Orange
Client: You received a message, please reply
Partner: You received a message/booking, please reply/confirm booking, Change booking dates, add comments.

Cancelled: Status Red
Client: Your booking has been cancelled
Partner: The booking has been cancelled

Add Camps
Add new listing by filling in a very straight-forward form in a few minutes. After you saved it, the CampFound team will review and publish it.

Payout Settings
Credit Cards
Your bankcards will be saved here so you don't need to put in the card details again for new bookings.

Payout Settings
Providers that are enrolled in the Full Payment Model, have to fill in their payout settings to receive the payments from clients. Please fill in every field so your details are saved correctly and payouts are enabled.

Transactions History
History of all your transactions and received payments
