What is CampFound?
CampFound is a third party booking website that provides guests access to a large collection of unique camp activities. Our goal is to make finding and booking camps easy for camper parents AND to ease the administrative burden of running camps for the camp operators/owners.
Who are the providers/partners on CampFound?
CampFound providers are located all over. CampFound does not review or endorse camps.
How can I join the CampFound community?
To stay in the loop with everything that’s going on at CampFound, be sure to create an account (click “Sign Up” in top right menu of webpage). You can also follow our updates on Facebook and Instagram- and don’t forget to read our blog and e-blasts.
How do I sign up to become a provider on CampFound?

FOR CAMP OPERATORS:
How do I list my camp on CampFound?
Sign up and get verified: Sign up is free and there no membership fees to become a Camp Operator.
List your camp: Just click the List Your Camp button in the top right hand corner. You can list as many camps as you want.
How do I get paid?
CampFound handles the awkward money part, so you don't have to. Payouts are deposited right into your bank account 48hrs after the booking has been approved by the camp operator. Payment processing is handled via Stripe.
What if my guest cancels, do they get a refund?
Your guest will be refunded accordingly to your cancellation policy which CampFound upholds.
What is the cancellation policy?
The cancellation policy protects camp owners in the event of unexpected guest cancellations. The cancellation policy set by the individual camp operator- there are a few options to choose from. Please review the Payments and Cancellations info page for more.
How does CampFound make money?
CampFound only makes money when you do. We charge a small service after (% of total booking amount) once you have a successful booking. See the pricing section for current pricing structure.
For Campers (Parents/Guardians):
Why do I have to submit my credit card information?
It is necessary to enter your credit card information so that we can process payment once you and the provider have come to an agreement and confirmed your booking request. The provider cannot confirm a booking until your credit card information has been entered.
When will my credit card be charged?
Your credit card will be charged once you receive a notification from the provider that your booking has been confirmed. Your credit card will not be charged if your booking request is declined, expired, or if you withdraw your request.
What do I do if my credit card is declined?
You can withdraw your booking request and submit a new booking request with a different credit card. If your credit card has been declined, please make sure that the credit card information you have entered is correct.
What is the CampFound fee?
There is only a service provider fee for the Partner. There are no fees for the camper. There is a 3% payment processing fee collected by our payment processor, Stripe.
BOOKING PROCEDURES
How do I send a booking request?
To send a booking request, find the camp activity you would like to book, select the date(s), quantity of persons and check availability. Once you select the camp you would like to book, select Request Booking, then you will enter your credit card information. You may also add an optional message to the camp operator then, too.
When can I expect to hear from the provider?
We request that our Camp Operators respond to all booking requests within 24-48 hours. However, some of our Camp Operators are located in remote locations with limited access to internet, and it may take a bit longer. If your request is urgent, first direct message the Camp Operator via CampFounds direct messaging system, then you can also contact us at shannon.chapman@campfound.com.
Can I submit multiple booking requests at the same time?
Yes, you can submit multiple booking requests at the same time, but remember that the booking requests are not inquiries and can be confirmed at any moment. Submitting multiple requests for the same dates may put you at risk for a double confirmation. Once you submit a booking request, your credit card will be charged automatically, after the Camp Operator approves the request.
What does each booking status mean?
Accepted/Booked: Green
Client:Your booking has been accepted and confirmed
Partner:You accepted the booking and it confirmed it to the client
Waiting: Blue
Client:Waiting for reply
Partner:Waiting for reply
Your action needed: Orange
Client:Your received a message, please reply

How do I check the status of my booking request?
The status of your booking may be seen under the booking details in your user dashboard. You will also receive email notifications if the status of your booking changes.
What is the difference between withdrawing and cancelling my booking?
You can withdraw your booking request if it is still pending. This means the Camp Operator neither confirmed or declined your request, and your credit card was not charged. After a booking is confirmed and your credit card is charged, you have the option to cancel your booking. Upon cancellation, funds are released based on the cancellation policy of the Camp Operator. Please view our Payments & Cancellation policy for additional information. Contact the Camp Operator directly to withdraw a booking that hasn’t been processed yet (through CampFound’s messaging system directly to the Camp Operator)
Where can I find the exact address of the camp?
The exact address of a camp is withheld until a booking is confirmed. However, you can view a map of the location on the camp profile.
ACCOUNTS
How do I change my username or password?
You can change your password under Account Settings after you have logged in to your account.
How do I log in?
You can log in to your account by clicking “LogIn” in top right menu of the website.
CANCELLATION AND REFUNDS
How do I get a refund?
Refunds are given based on the cancellation policy of the provider- please visit the individual Camp Listing page for questions about a specific camp's refund policy.
PROVIDER CONTACT
How do I contact the provider?
You may contact the provider (Camp Operator) when you make a booking request. Once you have made a booking request you can communicate with the provider via the communication thread that is located in the bookings section while logged in.
How do I know if a provider has responded to my request?
You will receive an email notifying you that the provider has responded to your request. There is a link provided in the email that will take you to the communication thread where you can communicate with the provider.
Why can’t I contact the Camp Operator via email or phone?
You can contact the Camp Operator by the direct messaging feature in CampFound. By contractual obligations, CampFound does not allow the exchange of contact information prior to a booking confirmation between providers and guests. For personal safety, this information is withheld until a booking is confirmed. Managing bookings outside of the CampFound system can create booking complications and risk for double bookings. A provider declined my booking with no explanation, what should I do next?
When our providers decline a booking request with no explanation, this typically means that they do not have availability. We encourage you to look at the surrounding areas on our site for other camps or send a message to the Camp Operator via CampFound’s messaging system.
REVIEWS
How can I submit a review?
Once you have experienced a camp, login to CampFound and visit the listing page for the camp. You may submit your review directly on the listing page.
Why are there no reviews on this CampFound listing?
The CampFound team is constantly adding new camp activities. You may come across a new listings on the CampFound website that have yet to receive a review.
